About the Production
Specially Processed American Me is a surreal autobiographical performance by former PCC Creative Fellow and Affiliated Artist Jaime Sunwoo using SPAM, the canned meat, as a portal into her Asian American upbringing and her family's experiences of the Korean War. Co-produced by Dixon Place, Ping Chong and Company and Free Rein Projects, Specially Processed American Me premiered at Dixon Place from January 27 - February 19, 2022.
